Spring Break Week 1: Takin' It Easy

Mar 8, 2013

The Homeschool Mother's Journal

In my life this week...

Our first week of Spring Break was uneventful. I went on a cleaning binge and noted a hundred things that need to be done outside. I've been doing a lot of planning ahead and writing.

In our homeschool this week...

We're are on Spring Break.

Lorelai has been playing around on BrainpopJr.com doing math and learning about artists. Alexis has spent her time drawing because that's what she does.

Things I’m working on...
I'm trying to have patience with IRS delays and I'm trying to overcome anxiety attacks. But while I deal with all of that, I'm making a list of the things I need to do around the house like cleaning the exterior windows, escavating the workroom, removing cobwebs, etc. I guess we'll spend a good amount of time outside this month, won't we?

A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
Lorelai was playing with the dog yesterday afternoon.

And here's this week's drawing by Alexis.

See? Not much going on around here.

  2. Ditto! I love her drawings! Anime, right? Is it that style called something else? She's quite talented! Definitely sounds like your staying busy over spring break!

  6. This week was busy. We spent a lot of time running here and there, and since I was sick all last week and Austin was sick the week before, I needed to catch up. So, I spent some time on housework this afternoon/evening. Actually, I just finished cleaning the bathroom. Even though I have a lot more to do, I feel so much better just getting some of it done. Eric & Austin helped, too. Eric tackled the kitchen, so that was really nice!

Lorelai looks like she was having a blast playing with the dog! I love Alexis' drawing, too!

    1. Lorelai was having a "crack-up" moment because she pretended to throw the ball and the dog was confused. Always good for a laugh, right?
