There's something special about combining savory and sweet flavors, am I right? That's why this Chicken with Strawberry Balsamic Sauce is one of my favorite recipes.

The combination of rosemary, garlic, strawberries, balsamic vinegar and honey make this an amazingly flavorful dish. It's not something I serve all the time, but I definitely try to make it once or twice during strawberry season.

Chicken with Strawberry Balsamic Sauce is a Family Favorite Recipe

It also perfect for my busy family. I'm all about quick meals. Just like this Tex-Mex Cheesy Beef and Bean Skillet or these Buffalo Chicken Nachos, you can have this Chicken with Strawberry Balsamic Sauce on the table in about 30 minutes!

With four adult kids, one teenager, and four grandchildren in my life, food has to be family-friendly, not just kid-friendly.

This dish pleases both adults and kids, so it's perfect. It's elegant enough, too, that you can easily whip this up for guests. They'll never know you didn't spend all afternoon in the kitchen!

The perfect blend of savory and sweet!

How to Make Chicken with Strawberry Balsamic Sauce - Step by Step

1. Season chicken with salt and pepper; rub with rosemary and garlic.

2. Cook chicken butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat 2-3 minutes on each side or until done. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

3. Add strawberries, vinegar, and honey to skillet. Cook 8-10 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Spoon sauce over chicken.

What goes with Chicken with Strawberry Balsamic Sauce?

Simple is usually best. I like to serve it with steamed rice and garlic butter green beans. You could serve the chicken over a bed of greens for a tasty salad. Also, kids enjoy it with plain pasta. There are plenty of options.

Top Tips for Chicken with Strawberry Balsamic Sauce

- I'm not big on using oil, but butter has a low smoke point. To avoid using oil, I put a few spoonfuls of water or broth in the pan with the butter. Replenish as needed. This also makes for tender chicken.
- Also, using a good cast iron pan, or a heavy bottom stainless steel pan makes it easier to cook without oil.
