Not Back-to-School Blog Hop: A Day in the Life 2011

Aug 21, 2011

This begins the final week of the 3rd Annual Not-Back-to-School Blog Hop! Hasn't it been fun traveling all the blogs, viewing the student and classroom photos and sharing curriculum ideas? Now we're down to the 4th and final week: where we share A Day in the Life of our homeschool. I can't wait to see what everyone else's days are like! Here is ours:

7am: Get up, make coffee, take the dog out. Check email, facebook, twitter. Make Breakfast
8am: Breakfast with the girls. Then everyone must get dressed, brush teeth and hair.
9am-11am:  Family Work
11am-12pm--Lorelai's guided work and Alexis' Independent work
12pm-1pm: Lunch Break
1pm-2:30pm Alexis finishes Independent work

Here is the run-down of our lessons. As you can see, some subjects vary day-to-day. I have a copy of this in my binder which I use as a guide each day. In the Independent work, you'll see parenthesis with a number. Those are how many minutes the child is to spend on that subject/task.

Schedule last updated 10/16/2011

Do you lay out your lessons in some organized fashion? If not, what type of plans do you make? What is a day in YOUR homeschool like?
