This Blueberry Margarita will be the hit of the season. Made from blueberry puree, fresh lime juice, and tequila, it's the perfect summer cocktail!

Spring is almost here and I'm ready for some blueberry cocktails, aren't you? This blueberry margarita is so simple to make, you may find yourself drinking them all summer long.

Ingredients for a Blueberry Margarita


  • frozen blueberries - I use packaged frozen fruit
  • water & sugar - to make a puree
  • tequila & triple sec - for the booziness
  • fresh squeezed lime juice - it's not a margarita without the lime
  • course salt - for the glass rim
  • fresh blueberries and limes - to garnish

How to Make a Blueberry Margarita


1. In your blender, add blueberries, water, and sugar . Blend until pureed.

2. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, blueberry puree, tequila, triple sec, and fresh squeezed lime juice. Shake until combined and chilled.

3. Add coarse salt in an even layer to a shallow saucer.
4. Rub the rim of your glasses with a lime wedge, then swirl the rims into the salt.

5. Add a few cubes of ice to your glasses.

6. Pour blueberry margaritas evenly between the two glasses.

7. Garnish with fresh blueberries, lime wedges or slices.

  • Keep your margarita glasses in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • If you want to turn this into a mocktail (non-alcoholic), leave out the alcohol and replace it with additional puree.
